Gwyn Gambill's Horse Wins Two Prizes In Show

Accomplishes The "Impossible" at Galax Fair Horse Show. Is 6 Yrs. Old.

Gwyn Gambill's fine horse, Starmount, did the more or less "impossible" in the horse show at the Galax fair last Thursday afternoon by winning first place in the hunter's class and then two hours later taking third place in the Virginia-bred three-gaited class.

"There isn't one show horse in a thousand that can win in both of those classes in the same day," one qualified observer commented.

"That horse was certainly in rare form and its owner should be mighty proud of him," a judge was quoted as saying.

There were a large number of some of the finest horses in the country at the Galax show, too, including Lady Durham, the consistent winner of prizes.

Mr. Gambill, whose chief hobby is horses, purchased Starmount about a year ago.

This horse is six years old and was born in Virginia. It is a handsome looking chestnut sorrel.

Claude Cole rode Starmount to victory and won a total of $35.00 in prizes.
