THE GREAT FIRE.—The editor of the Roanoke "Times" has been on a visit to Fincastle since the great fire, and gives a gloomy picture of the scene. He says:

"Arriving in town on Roanoke St., we were astonished at the scene that met our eyes. No reports had given us a true idea of the extent of the damage. For squares nothing was to be seen but blackened ruins, houseless chimneys and smouldering walls. The Court House stands alone in the centre of the town. All around it lie the debris of fire. Here and there are to be seen groups of citizens mournfully discussing their losses."
