A RESOLUTE JUDGE—The Philadelphia papers tell us that Samuel Nathans, who was recently ordered by the proper court to give security to pay $5 per week for the support of his wife (to whom it was decided he had been legally married, although no minister or other officer had officiated), and who upon refusal to comply was sent to prison for contempt of court, &c., was brought before the Supreme Court on application for discharge, on Friday, backed by an extraordinary combination of legal talent, as follows: G. W. Barton, H. M Philips, Ovid F. Johnson, D. P. Brown and G M. Dallas. All would not do, however, as Judge Sargeant decided that he had been properly dealt with, and remanded him to prison.
