Going To China

On the Summer School Staff at Jackson College is Dr. Aguinaldo Lanier, a native of Jackson in honor of whose father Lanier High School was named. Dr. Lanier, holder of the Doctors Degree in English is on leave from Fisk University for 1948-49 and possibly an additional year.

Upon being invited by his Dartmouth Classmate, Dean Quenton Pan, he has received a grant from the Board of Foreign Scholarship under the Fulbright Act to go as a visiting professor in the Dept. of Foreign Languages and Literature, Tsing Hua University, Peking China.

Dr. Lanier will remain at Jackson College pending completion of details for the China Trip.
