PHILADELPHIA, APRIL 12

Extract of a letter from Greensburg, of the 3d April, 1805.

"Mr. William Findley, who you know has been a very steadfast democrat, is more vehemently opposed to a convention, than he ever was to any of the proceedings of the federalists. At one of our township meetings lately, he took occasion to declare, that Duane was now doing more mischief, and attempting to bring more calamity on the state, than any printer who had ever been in it, and that most of his former supporters had now reason to wish this factious demagogue had been driven out of the country with Cobbett:—That nothing short of a dictatorship in the state, and in congress too would satisfy this impudent intruder among us."
