Gorman Will Not Move to New York.

Washington, Dec. 21.-Senator Gorman's future, after his retirement from the Senate, is a matter of considerable importance, apparently, to his friends and those who are not his friends. The rumor that he would remove to New York is denounced by the Senator himself as a pure fabrication, and he says that none of the plans which have been mapped out for him are with his approval. It is not believed the Senator will remove from Maryland, but will settle down at his residence in Laurel, Md., after his term expires, taking an interest in Maryland politics, though refraining from actively interfering with the work of the party organization. The Senator is as anxious for harmony in the Democratic party in Maryland as his opponents are, and will do nothing after his term expires to hinder the return of the party to power in his State.
