Wells, Nev., Herald: We have been informed by reliable parties, that if the wholesale slaughter of fawns and does by the Indians, is not checked, that in five years time the deer in the mountains of Nevada will be cleaned out. They do not kill them for food, but for the hides with which to make gloves. It is supposed by many that Indians are allowed to kill game at any and all times of the year, regardless of game laws, but all Indians not living on reservations are subject to the same laws as the whites and can be prosecuted for violating the same.
