The Western Maryland Boundary.
On Tuesday evening of last week
the surveyors of the States of Mary-
land and West Virginia completed
the survey of the Western Maryland
line. The gentlemen making the
survey were Mr. John Harned and
Mr. Julius Monroe, surveyors for
Maryland and West Virginia re-
spectively. The other gentlemen
engaged in the work were Messrs.
Homer Rayenscraft and George
McGee, chainmen: Louis Lantz and
James Watson, axemen; Abraham
Bosley, flagman, and Camden
Lantz, commissary.
The surveyors began running the
line from the Fairfax Stone on the
south and ran a line due north to
the Pennsylvania line. At the first
monument planted on the Michler
line the new line ran east of said
monument 11 7-10 rods, and at the
