Full Text

A Lock-Out at Lebanon.

A few days ago the men employed at the Pennsylvania Bolt and Nut works at Lebanon requested the managers to permit them to stop work at noon. This request was not granted, and accordingly the men stopped work at noon on Saturday, and did not report until Monday morning, when they found that the fires were not rekindled. Some of the men, about forty in all, claim that owing to the intense heat they were exhausted and unable to continue longer at work. Mr. Lord, one of the managers of the works, said that when the men stopped work without permission they severed their connection with the works, and will be paid the wages due them. New men will be employed at once.
