TO CORRESPONDENTS.

The Communication of "Caius Victor" on the subject of the Wilmington Collectorship, shall appear next week. Our columns will testify that we would willingly have avoided this irritating subject; but we shall vindicate the administration from unjust aspersion, at every hazard. We knew from the first, and now assure the opposition of the fact, that there is no "hungry liegeman," who will plant his javelin on their plea in chief. On premises equally tenable, "Caius Victor" would be to the puerile reasoning and boyish diction of the Wilmington Advertiser, as the rising sun to the morning vapor.
