The Report of the State Mine Inspector speaks very highly of all the mines in Jackson county. This is an evidence of a fact well known to citizens of this county—that our mines are all conducted by thorough and careful workmen. Many of these mine bosses are young men who were raised in this county. There is shown a disposition on the part of mine bosses and operators to look after the safety of their workmen, and considering the number of men employed, the list of accidents is small. Jackson county has a right to feel proud of the way her mines are conducted.
