From thence the Flames extended towards the Street, and consumed the Houses of a Linnen draper, Milliner, Cookshop, Publican, Grocer, and four or five other Dwelling houses in Front. The Damage is computed at several Thousand Pounds, and it was Ten o'Clock Yesterday Morning before the Flames were got under. Near 2000 Barrels of Pitch & Tar were consumed, & it is conjectured, that between twenty and thirty Houses have been destroyed.

A terrible Fire broke out in the Tar Yard belonging to Mr. Bois at Dock Head, Horsley Down, occasioned by the Tar Cooper boiling over, and burnt with incredible Fury for several Hours, destroying the Workshops where it began, with several other Outhouses, Warehouses, etc., particularly a large Warehouse filled with Wood, belonging to Mr. Vernum, Woolstapler, whose Dwelling house also narrowly escaped. From thence the Flames extended towards the Street, and consumed the Houses of a Linnen draper, Milliner, Cookshop, Publican, Grocer, and four or five other Dwelling houses in Front. The Flames were got under at Ten o'Clock Yesterday Morning.
