Ben Moore, white, and George Starks, colored, were brought in Wednesday evening, charged with robbing Mr. Allen Faircloth of $85. The case was worked up by Mr. S. M. Lacroix, who cleverly succeeded in locating the thieves and recovering $68 of the money. After his arrest Starks confessed to the crime, implicating Moore as an accessory. Starks is in jail, and Moore has been admitted to bail in the sum of $250. If the circumstances are as reported to us, it was not a case in which a magistrate could admit bail.
