HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

Saturday, February 14.

The House proceeded to the 31st, 32d, and 33d ballot for President, but the result was invariably 8 for Jefferson, 6 for Burr, two divided. The further balloting was adjourned until Monday, 12 o'clock.

A letter from the Secretary of the Treasury was received; but was not read.

After the 30th ballot, a motion was made to postpone the next ballot to the 3d of March; which was rejected unanimously by the States.

Monday, February 16.

The House proceeded to the 34th ballot. The result the same as before. Next ballot postponed until to-morrow, at 12 o'clock.

Tuesday, February 17.

The House proceeded to the 35th ballot for President. The result the same as before.

At one o'clock the 36th ballot was taken, which issued in the election of THOMAS JEFFERSON.
