PRINCESS JAILED FOR THEFT
MRS. MINNE HAHA, SIWASH MAIDEN OF BREWSTER GOES TO FAIR WITH ALLEGED STOLEN ANIMALS--BEHIND BARS.

Mrs. Mine Ha Ha, otherwise known as "The Big Moose," first cousin of Chief Brewster, of Okanogan county, and a close relative of Chief Methow, the discoverer of Okanogan county, is in the county jail accused of horse stealing, and her affinity, Columbia Jim Commodore, is also in a cell wondering how it all happened, says the Seattle Times.

Mrs Ha Ha is a princess in her own right. Mr. Columbia Jim Commodore is every inch a king, but is barred kingly honors through the fact that Chief Methow and Chief Brewster are still in the flesh.

It was in the town of Brewster, which is on the Columbia river in Okanogan county, that the chief's daughter and Columbia Jim first met.

"There's my affinity something skookum," calmly remarked James.

"Nothing doing Columbia." retorted Mrs. Ha Ha. "Me for the simple life and the A.-Y.-P. exposition."

"How are you going to get there?" asked the practical Columbia Jim.

"Me spot horses. Take horses. Big run to Puget sound and sell horses." smiled the princess.

"A princess under any other title could swipe horses just as sweetly." remarked Columbia Jim.

"I guess it is up to me to accompany thee to Puget sound."

So they came with six head of borrowed horses and were promptly incarcerated in the county jail, princess and Indian peasant alike.

"Huh." remarked Princess Minnie yesterday. "Me no swipe horses Jim he swipe them."

"Minnie she steal horses." remarked James. "You no hold me here because Minnie one bad thief girl."
