PORTS MOUTH, March 20.

Last Wednesday being the Anniversary of that MEMORABLE DAY, when both Great-Britain and her Colonies were happily deliver'd from Jealousies, Discords and impending Ruin, by the Repeal of the STAMP-ACT.-- The Day was celebrated by the SONS OF LIBERTY here, with public Ensigns of Joy, and in the Evening many hearty Friends to his present Majesty King GEORGE. the Nation, and their Country, assembled at the House of Mr. G. G. where a decent Entertainment was provided, and Toasts of Loyalty and Gratitude, were drank, which were answered by firing hearty Rounds of brass Pieces of Cannon : testifying the Allegiance of American Subjects to their King,--their high Sentiments of the Wisdom and Justice of the British Parliament in crushing an Act so Impolitic and Infamous,~- and their indelible Remembrance of all those worthy and noble Patriots, by whose zeal and activity this great Deliverance was accomplished.

One valuable End designed by the Joy and Festivity of this Anniversary is, that our Children, and Children's Children, through many Generations, may remember, that once Britain and her Colonies were upon, the brink of Destruction by an Act which struck at the Root of all their Privileges and Prosperity : but were saved by the Wisdom of their King, and a Patriotic Parliament.
