Military Commentator Tells Nipponese of Impending Invasion
LONDON, June 27.—A Japanese military commentator declared today in a Tokyo broadcast that "everybody in Japan is talking of invasion, everybody is theorizing about it."
"The American plans seems to be first to shatter systematically all Japanese industrial centers and large cities and then, having completely paralyzed our industrial power, to launch their final attack," the commentator said.
Speculating on the possibility that American forces might attempt a landing in China before attacking the Japanese homeland, the broadcaster said the Japanese General Staff "can assure the nation that Japanese forces are in complete control of the China coast."
