The King of Prussia with an Army of Twenty Thousand Men beat the combined Army of Germans and French of Forty Thousand, under the Command of the Prince de Soubise--the Loss very heavy upon the Germans,--the French run away,-- the King in his Speech of the 1st of December takes Notice of this Victory,-- the Addresses of the Lords and Commons are warm, and give strong Assurances of supporting the King of Prussia, and His Majesty's Rights and Commerce in America.-- The King disapproved of the Convention for Hanover.-- The Duke has thrown up all his Posts in the Army,-- Sir John Ligonier has them,--The Hanoverians have broke the Convention, and are assembling under the Prince of Brunwick. - Admiral Hawke is cruising in the Bay,-- The Report of the Committee of Enquiry in Sir John Mordaunt's Conduct, to be laid before the Parliament.-- All the disabled Ships from Halifax, the East-India Ships from St. Helena, are arrived,-- Two of our Frigates engaged two French Frigates, sunk one and carried the other in,-- The Harriot Packet Capt. Bonnell from New-York: cleared herself from a French 18 Gun Privateer-- No Prospect of Peace this Winter.
