SATURDAY, June 18, 1892.

Esmeralda county will send a full delegation to the Reno convention.

Whitelaw Reid's boom at Minneapolis was inaugurated by the drum corps.

"Rat-a-ta-rat, rat-rat-rat. Ring striped and streaked rat, ra-ra-rat, r-r-rat, skiddle-ma-dink-a-di-do Rats."

The People's party believe in one flag, one country, one destiny, free coinage and non-intervention of the foreign powers in the affairs of our republic. These principles they are ready to maintain at the ballot-box, and if needs be at the cannon's mouth.

After the Democratic delegation got such a hearty anti-gold-bug reception at Reno, it resolved to drop Cleveland till it crossed the Missouri river and got beyond the independent masses of the West, and in the mean time it turned its attention to the more profitable game of pedro and bean poker.

Delegate Hardesty of Nevada to the Chicago convention, informed a press reporter that the delegation would vote for Cleveland if they find out that he is for silver. This is refreshing intelligence, "if they find out that he is for silver." No wonder "Harrison and free coinage" may get a few votes in Nevada.

The bosses and small fry of the old parties are straining every nerve, trying to check the rising tide, but it is gathering force and strength daily from every rill and rivulet of public opinion and is foaming and rushing and leaping over every barrier and carrying on its irresistible bosom death-dealing destruction to the Demo-Repub-bugo-goldites.

Handle the question as you will, view it in all lights of which it is capable, analyze it, turn it over, ponder, consider and reflect, and you can discover but two sides to the free coinage question-one for it, the other against. Every vote cast for a gold-bug candidate for President is a vote against it. This, then, being the issue, and this the phase in which it is presented, the people should vote squarely on it, regardless of old party lines, the same as if all old party names were wiped out and two tickets were to be voted, one called gold and silver. the other gold.

If Governor Flower shall be put on the tail end of the Chicago kite with Boies, as now seems possible, if not probable, the trades unions will be found fighting him all over the country as they are fighting Reid. He too, they claim is a bitter foe and out-spoken enemy of all labor organizations. We say down the whole caboodle. Both parties are enemies of every industry and every labor organization, and every interest of the millions and will so continue as long as they knuckle to Wall street and are led by the foreign nobility. The Republican party has shown itself to be so at Minneapolis. The Democrats will at Chicago.
