MILITARY VISIT TO MOUNT VERNON.—The Fifth Regiment of Maryland National Guards, of Baltimore, Col. Jenkins commanding, will arrive in Washington at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning, and after giving the President a marching salute, will take the steamer Vanderbilt at 11:30 a. m. for a visit of a few hours to Mount Vernon, passing this city about noon. The regiment will start 350 strong, with their old gray uniform, white belts, knapsacks and blankets rolled, and one day's rations. They are armed with their new breech-loading muskets, and among the rank and file there are men who fought on both sides during the late civil war. The parade will be the first since the retirement of Col. Herbert, who until recently had been in command from the organization of the regiment. The steamer Arrow will transport the regiment from the Vanderbilt, lying in the channel, to the Mount Vernon wharf.
