KIDDS HERE, YACHT TOUR
Retired Banker. Industrialist of Vancouver, and Wife Making Trip
The yacht Meander from Vancouver, B. C., berthed at the PAA float at 5:30 p. m. yesterday, and will sail tomorrow for Skagway
The yacht is making a leisurely cruise of Southeast Alaskan ports with Geo. Kidd, retired banker and industrialist of Vancouver, and Mrs. Kidd, who reported a pleasant trip and fine weather. The Meander is commanded by Capt. W. Gleeson who was with the Canadian National line, and two years ago was mate on the Prince Rupert.
Mr. Kidd commented upon the lack of moorage facilities for yachts in Southeast Alaska ports, including Juneau, but stated that the Meander has received courteous treatment and a cordial welcome at all ports of call. The present trip is the first visit to Alaska for both Mr. and Mrs. Kidd.
