Washington, Apr. 18-(AP)—
The House Military Committee
today banned plans for special leg-
islation to force all non-central
work through the draft reduction
into Army and Navy as draftees.
Chairman May, Kentucky Dem-
ocrat, announced following in execu-
tive meeting that the committee had
decided that government agencies.
Sel. Selective Service and the
War Manpower Comm. already
have ample authority to assign phy-
sically maladjusted men to move es-
ential jobs
The committee acted after Rep.
Representative Vinson, Chmn. of a subcommittee
that has been studying draft pol-
icy asserted his group and agreed
that special legislation was not ne-
cessary at this time
The CIO previously had pre-
viously recommended that the an-
ned services and Selective Service
make plans to utilize all 4-F's who are able to work.
