NEW YORK UPI - Pickets protesting alleged discrimination against Negroes demonstrated in the Times Square theater district Saturday.

The demonstration was backed by the Negro American Labor Council, which is headed by A. Philip Randolph, president of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and vice president of the AFL-CIO.
Pickets formed lines outside the Morocco, Booth, Plymouth and Royale theaters where "The Best Man," "A Taste of Honey," "Irma La Douce," and "Becket," respectively, are playing.
