By letters from France, via Philadelphia, we are informed that the Farmers-General, with an urbanity and disinterestedness that does them honor, lent six millions of livres to the Caisse d'Escompte, and immediately restored the public credit, which had before that undergone a little tremblement: all the debts of the Bank are likely to be liquidated in a very few weeks: they have resolved to add to their stock 1000 new shares, of 3500 livres each, which will form an increase of the funds of 35 millions of livres--the bills now in circulation amounts to 33 millions.
