INCREASE IN EXPORTS.

Porto Rico Shipments Much Larger
Than Last Year.

San Juan, Porto Rico July 11.- Exports from Porto Rico to foreign countries for the fiscal year ended June 30 increased 21 per cent over the total of such exports for last year; the increase in the island's exports to the United States was 45 per cent over the total for the last fiscal year. Sugar, tobacco and hats formed the principal articles of export.

The customs receipts for the first fiscal year reached $300,000 and the balance from the insular revenues was increased by $2100.
