LAKE SUCCESS, N. Y.-(ANP)- An Arab nationalist organization, the Committee for the Freedom of North Africa, sent a note to President Truman here last week, charging that France is using the heel of oppression to beat down the darker races in North Africa and Indo China.
In its first complaint, the committee said that France has moved fresh colonial troops from Dakar, the capital of Senegal, to Morocco in an all-out effort to enforce its police state regime in the country. The colonial troops from Dakar are the fierce-fighting native Senegalese soldiers.
Its second complaint charged that the U. S. was aiding French colonialism in North Africa and Indo-China, and by so doing, was serving the interests of communism.
The letter, signed by Abd El Krim, president of the committee and El Abed Bouhafa, his UN representative, asked President Truman to discuss France's oppression of the nine million Moroccans with Andrew Pleven, France's prime minister, who is currently conferring with the President in Washington.
