FIRE AT GOTHENBURG.

Extract of a letter from a gentleman in the neighbourhood of Gothenburg, dated the 3d current, to his friend in Leith.

Just as I was finishing this letter I have received the melancholy news, that a fourth part of Gothenburg was last night consumed by fire, which first took place in a joiner's house in Hollepders Gatan (the name of the street) the fire continued with fury from the Old Port of the town to the new. The large Sugar-house, Flesh-market, and the Kirche, are burnt down.
