Police Justice Joseph J. White presiding.
Henry Eck, charged with burglary, was sent on to the grand jury. The complaint against him of getting possession of a boat belonging to R. J. Adams by means of a forged order was dismissed.
The case of Charles Leekey (colored), charged with assaulting and striking Herbert Cook with a club, was continued until to-day.
Albert West, Louis Day, and David Meade (all colored), charged with trespass and disorderly conduct, were fined $2.50 each.
William Green (colored) was up charged with stealing a horse and saddle from Mr. J. S. Frayser, of Spotsylvania. The case was continued until Saturday, and Mr. Frayser summoned as a witness.
Emma Mayo (colored) was sent to jail for five days for disorderly conduct.
Henry Harris and William Payne (colored vagrants) were sent to jail in default of surety.
