Because she received love letters written in endearing language and sometimes in poetic form, Mrs. Francine Arnett, of East St. Louis, is named as the defendant in a divorce action brought by her husband, Ernest Arnett.

The suit, filed yesterday in the circuit court at Belleville, will be tried in the September term of that court.

Infidelity is the charge on which the suit is based. In his petition, Arnett names Ralph Martin, of Scott Field, as co-respondent.

Martin is the writer of the endearing love notes, the petition states.

The Arnetts were married November 27, 1919.
