It is reported in Tombstone that H. C. Clark has "struck it rich" in a placer claim on the northeast slope of the Huachuca mountains, near the old Salvation Army claims, noted for their generous output of copper during the management of Connolly several years since.
The claim is one which Mr. Clark has held for some time. It is near the line of the Fort Huachuca military reservation.
It has been known for some time that there is excellent placer ground on the reservation but government rulings prevent anyone from working this ground.
