The Garrett County Memorial hospital in Oakland had a busy week in the birth department, with fourteen additions to the population being brought into the world. There were seven boys and seven girls.
On the 2nd, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Gnegy, star route, Oakland.
On the 3rd a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Paugh, Jr., route 1, Deer Park; a son to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Carl Adolfson, 8th street, Oakland; a son to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nelson Edgar, McHenry.
On the 4th a son to Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Edwin Bolding, route 1, Deer Park; a son to Mr. and Mrs. David Lowell Otto, route 2, Swanton; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Edward King Tower, Oakland.
On the 5th a son to Mr. and Mrs. Everett Boyd Weimer, Mt. Lake Park; a son to Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Eugene Uphold, Accident; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Frank Blamble, Eglon, W. Va.; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Truman Edward Uphold, route 1, Oakland; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Cecil E. Lewis, route 2, Oakland.
On the 6th a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Edward Ours, Friendsville.

There was an error in the birth announcements last week. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Harley Murphy, of Crellin, instead of Harley Mersing, as stated.
During the week the hospital admitted 55 patients and discharged 51 of them. Census this morning was 44.
