BADEAU'S SUIT AGAINST GRANT
Big Lawyers Will Begin the Contest in the Supreme Court—Oct. 10.
Adam Badeau's suit against Mrs. Julia D. Grant for $10,000 as compensation for alleged services rendered her husband, the late Gen. Grant, in preparing his memoirs was to-day set down for trial before Justice Patterson in Special Term of the Supreme Court for Oct. 10.
Hays & Greenbaum are counsel for Badeau, and Seward, Da Costa & Guthrie for Mrs. Grant.
The taking of testimony regarding the relations between Gen. Grant and his military secretary will consume a week, and the trial will be one of the historical court events of the nineteenth century.
