PORTS MOUTH.

We hear from Falmouth in the County of York, that Capt. John Bunker of the Sloop Elizabeth, who sailed from this place the 21st ult. bound to Casco-Bay, loaded chiefly with English and West India Goods to a considerable Value, on the Saturday after off Casco, distant about three Leagues, his Sloop sprung a Leak, and the Water gained so fast on them, that he with the other Hand that was with him betook themselves to a Canoe, the Sea running very high, but in a quarter of an Hour was taken up by Capt. Andrew Bennet of Casco, or otherwise must have perished in the Waves; and from the time of their first discovering the Leak, was not more than one Hour before she sunk to Bottom in about 40 Fathom of Water.
