Full Text
Achievement of a Sermon—Ministers sometimes complain that they cannot learn whether a sermon produced effects or not. The author of a sermon "preached in St. Mark's church, Lewiston, N. Y." on "The use of Holy Garments," is not in that predicament, for he informs his readers, in the preface to the second edition, that good has been the result of the production, for "He has been assured that it has been the means of the surplice being introduced in several parishes where it had not hitherto been used." Verily, they have their reward.—N. Y. Evangelist.
