Winter Carnival To Be Telecast Over ABC-TV Jan. 7-Feb 11
St. Paul Winter Carnival activities will be telecast throughout the U.S. on an ABC-TV network show called "Wide World of Sports", which will begin a regular Sunday afternoon series in January. It was announced Saturday by Hubert W. White, Jr., general chairman of the festival.
Technicians from "Wide World of Sports" will spend eight days in St. Paul making video-tapes of Carnival events. The Winter Carnival program will be presented for 90 minutes Sunday, Feb. 11.
The show, which goes on the air for the first time Jan. 7, will be shown locally over KMSP-TV (channel 9), Twin Cities ABC outlet.
