Extract of a Letter from Stockholm, October 2.

Major General Baron de Pechlin, Doctor Rutzstrom, Odhelius, Speaker of the Order of Peasants, and the Vice Chancellor Engestrom, still continue under the Arrest which took Place at the Time of the late Revolution.

Rutzstrom, it is Said, was a Spy, who watched every Step the King took, and brought the Report to the Nobility of the Senate; he likewise formed a Manifesto, in Conjunction with Baron de Pechlin, to arrest his Majesty on the same Day the Revolution happened.

Baron de Pechlin will be tried by a Court Martial, but the others will have their Trial at common Law.

The present System of his Majesty is to Secure Peace and Tranquillity with the Powers of Europe, and advance the Happiness of his Subjects, by promoting Arts and Sciences, particularly Agriculture.

The distilling of Brandy is totally suppressed, as there was more Corn consumed in that than all Sweden produced.

The new Form of Government, it is positively said, was framed by a neighbouring great Potentate.
