PHILADELPHIA, March 16

The American Philosophical Society at their meeting, received from William Henry, Esq. of Lancaster, the following piece of mechanism, and other curiosities, communicated by Mr. Rittenhouse:

The model of a wheel carriage, which rolls directly against the wind's force alone.

Two pieces of crystal, of an unusual magnitude found in Lancaster county.

An exceeding large tusk, and one of the grinders of some unknown animal; brought from the neighbourhood of the Ohio.

Mr. Rittenhouse also presented from Mrs. Paul (of the city), an horn, of extraordinary size, of the moose deer.
