The trial of Jason Fairbanks, for the murder of Miss Eliza Fales, came on before the Supreme Judicial Court, at Dedham, on Thursday last, and was not finished last evening. This trial has excited a great degree of interest, and was attended at the opening by so numerous a concourse of people of both sexes, that the court found it necessary to adjourn from the Court to the Meeting-house. The court is composed of the Hon. the Chief Justice, Judges Paine, Dawes, and Strong. Messrs. Otis and Lowell are the counsel assigned for the prisoner. The witnesses are very numerous.
