BEAR
ATTACKS
WOMAN

CINCINNATI, July 19-An unknown woman was attacked by a maddened bear, which was in charge of the Huntington, West Virginia, Elks, on Central avenue last night and before the animal could be recaptured it had torn the garments of the woman to shreds. Two bears came west on the Virginia special and it is said both were fed beer on the way. The crowds at the depot and the heat affected the animals. The second bear broke loose and tore around among the people but was captured before any damage was done.
