AVIATOR MISSING
ON TEXAS BORDER

(By United Press)

San Antonio, Tex., Feb. 12.—Several army planes left Kelly field today to comb the border for Lieut. Alexander Pierson of the 12th aero squadron, who has been missing from Fort Douglass since Thursday.

Kelly field officers believe that Lieutenant Pierson has either been killed or taken prisoner by Mexican bandits. The flier was en route from Fort Douglass to Pablo Beach, Fla., where he hoped to start a coast to coast flight and finish in the record time of 24 hours.
