Governor Suspends
Motorcycle Cop

Motorcycle cop Colon of St. Thomas was suspended and ordered returned to his permanent assignment in St. Thomas. Officer Colon found out that sugar truck drivers for Vicorp were operating without an operator's badge required under Title 20, Section 401 of the Virgin Islands Code, and accordingly handed out tickets. The truck drivers at once went on 'Strike'. Someone made contact with the Governor who at once took the above mentioned action against officer Colon.
