British Socialists Tell American Labor Party Freedom is Threatened
London, May 23.The British socialist party, in a "Message of Greeting" to the American Labor delegation which visited Great Britain, said:

"Your future is threatened as is ours. The Germans and their confederates menace you as they do us. The horrors of rape, torture, ruthless murder and massacre of women and children, every atrocity dehumanized men can commit, are the inevitable outcome of unrestrained German greed and German bloodlust.

"We welcome your powerful aid against these brutal enemies. We rejoice at your visit. We are proud of the magnificent courage and tenacity with which the troops of the British commonwealths are holding their own in France against very heavy odds.

They are fighting this desperate battle for you and for us. We know well that as your turn comes the men of America will do precisely the same.

"Do not think the peoples of the British commonwealths would give way under any circumstances. They would not. But the help of your countrymen and the vast resources of your country will greatly shorten the war and render our triumphs certain. The German rulers themselves know, whatever may be the immediate result of the present terrific battle, that the avengers of their crimes are already marshalled for victory, under the Union Jack, the Tri-color, and the Stars and Stripes. The red flag, we bitterly regret to say is for the moment powerless to stop the war machine which the German rulers set going nearly four years ago and to secure a peace for democracy and freedom.

"We stigmatize all who sympathize with these criminals and call them 'our German friends' as traitors to our common cause and fomenters and participators in this campaign of outrage against your country and ours.

"We of the national socialist party, now as ever, proclaim aloud our respect, admiration, and fraternity for the men and women of America."
