WPA GRANTS $23,073 FOR WOODSTOCK ROAD PROJECT

Congressman Thomas R. Ball has been notified by the Works Progress Administration of the approval of a non-federal project for the repair and improvement of roads throughout the town of Woodstock. The federal allotment for the project is $23,073.

Work to be undertaken includes excavation, backfilling, installing drainage structures, culvert pipe and headers, graveling, surfacing and other incidental work. All work will be undertaken on town-owned property and no taxes or assessments will be levied to cover the amount of federal funds expended. It is not a part of the Federal Aid Highway system.
