A gentleman lately from Havana, informs us. That incredible diligence is used in preparing the old and erecting new works there, in which they employ all the hands that came from Pensacola, St. Augustine, and that the Punta was completely finished, the repairs on the Moro a good deal advanced, and a fort begun (whereon they intend to mount 100 pieces of cannon) upon the hill from whence our batteries had played with most success: That the Spaniards seemed under daily apprehensions of a new war breaking out, and being again attacked: And, that General O'Reily obliges all the male inhabitants, of every rank and colour, to perform the Prussian exercise and evolutions twice a day in order to make good soldiers of them.
