Boston and Worcester Railroad
The annual meeting of the stockholders of the Boston and Worcester Railroad Company was held at the hall over the depot in Boston, yesterday morning, at 11 o'clock, where there was a large attendance—Genry Twichell, Esq., President, in the chair.
After the presentation of the report of the Board of Directors, which was discussed and accepted, Messrs. Stephen Salisbury of Worcester, Stephen Fairbanks and Joseph Buckley, of Boston, were appointed to receive, sort, and count the votes for Directors for the ensuing year. Mr. Salisbury declining, Mr. Isaac Southgate of Leicester was appointed in his stead.
The result of the vote was as follows:

And Messrs. Genery Twichell of Brookline, Daniel Denny of Dorchester, Nathaniel Hammond of Boston, Benjamin F. White of Boston, Israel Lombard of Newton, Isaac Emery of Boston, Emory Washburn of Cambridge, Peter T. Homer of Boston, Daniel Waldo Lincoln of Worcester were declared chosen. Mr. Emery received 5790 votes, and Mr. Homer 6538 votes each: all the others received 6598 votes each, the whole number, and were consequently unanimously elected.
