TRUMAN MAY LAND
WALLGREN IN SOME
PLACE, 8 MONTHS

(By The Associated Press)

If President Truman is willing to wait eight months, he may find way to get his nomination of Mon G. Wallgren okayed by the Armed Services Committee.

The explanation comes from a senator who asked not to be quoted by name. He says the expected resignation of Republican Raymond Baldwin of Connecticut may cause reorganization of the committee after January 1 with eight Democrats and five Republicans as members.

If Baldwin is replaced on the committee by a Democrat, the Administration is certain to insist that the new member be one who favors sending Wallgren's nomination to the floor of the Senate.
