Kersey Addresses Local Graduates

'This year's graduating class at Central Union high school had the unusual honor of having the state superintendent of public instruction, Vierling Kersey. as the chief speaker.

The superintendent is always an interesting speaker and his address last night was one of inspiration and encouragement to the graduates.

R. P. Moore. president of the board of trustees. awarded the diplomas to the 77 graduates, the largest class that Central has ever graduated.

Musical numbers by the orchestras, a trumpet solo by Fred Heald. a duet by Marjorie Meyer and Ruth Crafton constituted the remainder of program.

The invocation and benediction were pronounced by Rev. W. E. Malan of the Methodist Episcopal church.
