4th FIGHTER WING, Korea-Second Lieutenant Dayton W. Ragland, of Kansas City, Missouri, U. S. Air Force F-86 Sabrejet pilot of the veteran 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing, joined a fellow Sabrejet pilot in a surprise attack on the Communist airfield at Uiju in North Korea. They netted two MIG's destroyed, four probably destroyed and five badly damaged. The airfield strike occurred November 18, and marked the first instance that the speedy, swept-wing MIG fighter had been placed under attack while on the ground.
