BERLIN. Germany. Nov. 1. - Gustav Boess, Berlin's Lord Mayor returned today from an American tour and was greeted with jeers and hisses, both at the railway station and again as he and his wife entered their home. The demonstrations were the echoes of one that took place as he debarked from the steamer Bremen at Bremerhaven.

The cause of the manifestations resulted from a scandal over contracts of the City Administration which came to a head when the Lord Mayor was visiting in California.
