The vote of Pendleton, which we give this morning, illustrates the working of the Registration law very clearly. The votes cast (one hundred and eighty-two) are not quite as numerous as were the ballots of that county six years ago. The people of Pendleton are now permitted to cast within a fraction of two hundred votes. The vote of this county before the war was 1100.
